Second Public Meeting for Sundance Park
Residents are invited to review the final master plans for the Sundance Park Phase II expansion project on April 24 at 6 p.m. at the Coyote Branch Library, 21699 W. Yuma Road.
Based on input received during the first public meeting on March 22, city staff were able to identify our resident’s priorities for construction. Plans include a splash playground, urban fishing lake, multi-use fields for football and soccer, large ramadas, a bicycle course and walking paths.
Throughout this process, the city received more than 2,300 responses from a survey conducted during the summer of 2017 and input residents who attended the public meeting on March 22, 2018. During the first public meeting, residents were able to view the preliminary master plans and provide feedback.
Sundance Park is located on the southwest corner of Rainbow and Lower Buckeye roads. Phase II of the park is located on 35 acres just west of the existing park. Construction plans will take approximately one year to complete, and will begin once funding becomes available.
