Why Choose B.A.S.E:
Safety & Fun: Kid’s B.A.S.E. is a fun and safe alternative to sending your child home alone or with someone that you may not know well. All employees go through background checks and training to ensure that all sites are safe and fun.
Homework assistance/educational activities: Kid’s B.A.S.E. provides educational activities and homework assistance that continue to stimulate the brain, as opposed to kids going home and watching TV or using an iPad until their parents get home.
Healthy snacks: Kid’s B.A.S.E. offers a healthy snack to each participant as well as nutrition education that incorporates fun games and activities.
Physical Fitness & Creativity: Another important aspect of Kid’s B.A.S.E. is the opportunities for physical and creative play. This includes organized and unorganized games such as tag and kickball, as well as science, arts and crafts projects.
Enrollment applications are available on the city’s website and must be submitted 48 hours prior to your child starting in the program at the Dr. Saide Recreation Center, Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
