Golf Tournament to Raise Funds for Buckeye’s Community Action Program
A golf tournament to raise funds to provide direct financial assistance to the needy in the greater Buckeye Valley will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, at Sundance Golf Club.

Sponsored by the Sundance Men’s and Women’s Golf Clubs, the charity golf tournament to support the Town of Buckeye Community Services Department’s Community Action Program will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

There are only 144 spots in the tournament, so participants are urged to register soon to be a part of a fundraiser for the greater Buckeye community.

For residents who don’t play golf, Krista Cornish, CAP supervisor, suggested volunteering to help on the day of the event, sponsor a tee to promote a business or service or donate a raffle item. Receipts will be provided for tax purposes.

The cost of 18 holes of golf, practice balls, cart and lunch is $125 for a team of two players. There will also be a 50/50 cash drawing, raffle items and prizes.

For more information about the tournament, call Dick Gross of the Sundance Men’s Golf Club, 623-474-6193. To volunteer for the day of the event or discuss donations, call Cornish at 623-349-6608.
