Overview
In Fall 2008, the Building Safety Division shifted from the Community Development Department and are now under the direction of the Fire Department. This division inspects construction and development projects within the Town to ensure a quality built environment and compliance with Town codes and federal and state statutes. Building Safety provides customer services by protecting the citizens of the community from hazards by assuring that structures meet minimum standards for design, construction, quality of materials, and use and location of buildings through enforcement of the building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical codes.
