Development Code Update

What is a Development Code?

The Development Code is a regulatory document that provides direction on how development or redevelopment will occur within the town. The Development Code is a key tool to implement the revised General Plan. The current Development Code is no longer adequate to deal with the type and scale of development in Buckeye. It needs to act as an incentive to promote economic development and attract business and industry while also promoting quality of life and creating a healthy community for residents.

The draft Development Code is proposed to be released by end of February 2009 for a stakeholder review process with an expected adoption date of May 2009.
