Town of Buckeye Honor Guard Inaugural Performance
In our society words are sometimes taken for granted and not much thought is given to what they actually mean. On this important and historic occasion for the Town of Buckeye Fire Department it is important to give thought to the words Honor and Guard.

According to Webster, Honor means "to hold in high regard and the adherence to right principles". The word Guard means to "protect and defend".

In this instance all of you are honoring our fallen brothers and sisters through the careful watch over the United States Flag and the New Town of Buckeye Honor Guard Flag. In addition you are bringing much honor to the entire Town of Buckeye and to all of our Fire Fighters at home. On behalf of the Town of Buckeye and the entire Fire Department I thank you for your time and effort in bringing about the Town of Buckeye Fire Department Honor Guard. -The Buckeye Fire Department Senior Staff
