Councilmember Dave Rioux - District 6

Biography
Councilmember Dave Rioux was elected to a four-year term on the Buckeye Town Council in March 2006 and was seated June 6.

A native of Fall River, Mass., Rioux served in the U. S. Army. He is self-employed as owner of Buckeye Plumbing and Rio Plumbing in Buckeye.

Rioux is co-founder of the Southwest Crisis Team, has served as president of the Buckeye Food Bank, and is a member of the Buckeye Rotary Club, the Buckeye Elks Club and the Buckeye Elementary School PTSO. In addition, Rioux serves as the Council liaison to the Main Street Coalition Board of Directors, the Industrial Development Board and Pollution Board. Rioux has a silver certification from the National League of Cities and serves on two National League of Cities Boards, the Leadership Training Council and the Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Committee.

Rioux is very engaged with the Buckeye Senior Center where he calls bingo and works on legislative issues for the seniors. Rioux is currently working with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and is a partner with the Partnership for a Drug-Free America.
