CDBG & NSP Programs
CDBG Program
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program
Staff is currently in the process of drafting the CDBG 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan. The plan will address the community deelopment needs affecting low and moderate income (LMI) residents of Buckeye. The needs identified in the plan will be used to apply for CDBG funds.
In recent years, the Town has used those funds for sidewalk improvements and replacing waterlines in LMI residential areas. Buckeye hopes to continue applying for CDBG funds and even expand its funding to include HOME Investment Partnership and other eligible federal monies.
The Town of Buckeye will host public hearings to provide adequate opportunities to the residents and stakeholders to express community wide and neighborhood specific needs that may be addressed through the use of CDBG and HOME Funds.
Public Hearings:
Chamber of Commerce on September 2, 2009
Town Council meeting on September 15, 2009
