Exemptions
The Town of Buckeye regulates a series of businesses, however there are some activites that the Town does not need to license. Please note that no business or person shall be exempt from meeting health and/or safety requirements or tax laws when applicable.
Exempt Activities
- The practice, transaction or carrying on of any business conducted by federal government for which it has failed to make provisions allowing states and municipalites to so license
- Any person wishing to sell within the town any form of agricultural, nursery or horticultural product produced by such person
- Religious institutions engaged solely as a place of worship
- Activities of charitable, religious and non-profit organizations engaging in the act of disseminating information regarding the beliefs of their faith to include fundraising for the organization
- Non-profit organizations that have obtained their 501(c)(3) status
- Businesses physically located outside of the municipal limits whose only contact with the town is the delivery of pre-ordered goods
- A real estate licensee engaged in the sale or resale of real property; provided the office or branch of the agency, company, or business under which that person works or is contracted either possesses a town license or is exempt from having to possess a license
- School children enrolled in elementary and secondary school engaging in authorized or school sponsored fund-raising activites
- Services performed by independent contractors pursuant to a contract with the Town to the extent such contract contains an express exemption for these requirements; may be subject to the Town's fingerprinting process at employees own cost
