Sale of Fireworks Business License:

The sale of fireworks in the Town of Buckeye will be classified as a Mobile Vending Business License. Mobile Vending is regulated by the Town of Buckeye, and persons engaging in this type of activity are required to have a business license.

Mobile Vending as defined by the Town code means a person who peddles, vends, sells, serves, displays, offers to sell or gives away goods, wares, or merchandise from a mobile vending unit which is parked or located on a parcel of public or private property.

Applicants who wish to apply for this license must provide several documents to be considered for approval, please see attached checklist.  Applications will be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning and Building Safety Departments to make sure compliance is met.  Applicants must submit a plot plan showing compliance with all Zoning Ordinance Requirements, detailing where they intend to set up on the property.  Please contact the Planning and Zoning Department for more details, 632-349-6211.

Applicants for this type of license must submit fingerprints for a background check to be conducted by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.  NO license will be issued until the results of this background check are concluded.  This process can take between 10-14 business days depending on Department of Public Safety staff and workload.  Applicants will be notified when background results are completed and license is ready to be issued.  No exceptions will be made.  Once approved, applicant's will be issued a license and a photo identification card to be carried on their person while engaging in the licensed activity.  Applicants must provide two passport photos to be attached to this ID card.  The Town of Buckeye's Human Resource Department offers the passport photo service for a fee of $10.00 for two photos.

Permits are also required when fireworks are being sold in a temporary structure, such as a temporary tent. Permits must be approved and issued before business license can be approved and given. Please contact Building Safety Department on requirements for permits, 623-349-6200.
