Studying Arizona Series - Museum (Buckeye Valley Museum)

Presented by the Buckeye Community Center and the Buckeye Public Library System, this season's Studying Arizona Series focuses on "Law and Order in the Old West"

Part One (Museum):  

On February 4 at 1 p.m., visit the Buckeye Valley Museum (116 E. MC 85) to see historic Buckeye law enforcement photos and artifacts and hear from residents who will share their law and order stories from the early years.

Part Two (Lecture):

On February 25 at 1 p.m. visit the Downtown Library (310 N. 6th St.) as Arizona Humanities Scholar, H. Christine Reid, gives a fascinating and fun lecture on "Arizona: a History of Snake Oil Salesmen, Scams, and Hoaxes". She will share famous and lesser known stories.

Part Three (Field Trip):

On March 24 a field trip will be taken to the Pinal County Historical Society and Museum (Cost $4). The Bus leaves the Community Center at 7:30 a.m. Learn about the Florence Prison and history of Florence Arizona. Register for the field trip following the February 25 lecture.
