Buckeye history comes alive Jan. 23 – 26 with Buckeye Days in Historic Downtown. The event features a cattle drive, parade, carnival, wild west show, rodeo, vendors, great food and live entertainment throughout the weekend. 
Here’s the schedule of festivities each day:
Jan. 23 – 26, Carnival at Bayless Park, 300 E. MC 85.
- Thurs. - 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Fri. - 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Sat. - Noon to 10 p.m.
- Sun. – 1 to 9 p.m.
Friday, Jan. 24
- 6:30 p.m. - BBQ dinner at Buckeye Elementary School, 623 E. Monroe Ave. with live music, entertainment and a 50/50 raffle to benefit Friends of the Library.
- Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children under age 10, and can be purchased at either the Coyote or the downtown library.
Saturday, Jan. 25
- 9:30 a.m. - Cattle drive and parade along Monroe Avenue
- 10 a.m. – Vendor marketplace opens at 6th Street Plaza
- 11 a.m. – Dr. Buck’s Wild West Show
- Participate with world champion performers in tick roping, six gun spinning, bullwhip cracking and trick horse riding
- BBQ lunch at the Buckeye Museum, 116 E. MC 85 ($5 per person)
- Noon – Gates open for the PRCA Rodeo at South Buckeye Equestrian Center,
- Rodeo starts at 2 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday
- 5 p.m. - Cocktail hour and Wild West Show, Buckeye Elementary School
- 6 p.m. – Steak Fry and Silent Auction (benefiting local high school scholarships) at Buckeye Elementary School
Sunday, Jan. 26
- Noon – Gates open for the PRCA Rodeo at South Buckeye Equestrian Center,
- 10300 S. Miller Road
- Rodeo starts at 2 p.m.
