CALEA call for commentBUCKEYE, AZ (May 14, 2024): The Buckeye Police Department is seeking public input as part of a reaccreditation process that ensures the agency is meeting high standards of service. Community members are encouraged to submit feedback online or by mail as the department prepares for assessment by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) in June.

The public is welcome to provide feedback on any facet of the agency’s performance including standards compliance, delivery of public safety services or community engagement. Feedback can be submitted online at https://cimrs2.calea.org or mailed to:

Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc

13575 Heathcote Blvd, Suite 320

Gainesville, Virginia 20155.

There is no deadline for providing your input as accreditation is an ongoing process.

CALEA Accreditation is a voluntary process that requires both the police department and the public safety communications center to participate in annual reviews and submit reports proving compliance with standards set by the commission. Reaccreditation happens every four years following an on-site assessment and consideration by the full commission.
