With the Fourth of July holiday right around the corner, certain fireworks will once again be legal to use across Arizona but there is a lot to know before you buy.

Fireworks are only allowed between May 4 to May 6, June 24 to July 6, Dec. 24 to Jan. 4 and the second and third days of Diwali - but not all fireworks are legal in the state of Arizona.

Only cylindrical, cone fountains, ground spinners, flitter and ground sparklers and illuminating torches are allowed.

A good rule of thumb to remember when purchasing fireworks is - if it shoots into the air, it is not permissible. This includes bottle rockets, Roman candles, firecrackers, etc.
