Driver arrested for domestic violence following crash

Investigators learned the crash yesterday near Miller and Baseline Roads happened after the driver attacked his girlfriend. She is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Just after noon on September 2, 2024, Buckeye police responded to Cholla Ranch Apartments where a driver, identified as 37-year-old Keith Auzenne, crashed into an apartment building and ran away. Buckeye police immediately rendered aid to his girlfriend, a woman in her 30s, who was injured in the crash. A short time later, officers located Auzenne at a home nearby. Both Auzenne and the girlfriend were transported for medical treatment.

During the investigation, officers learned an argument between Auzenne and his girlfriend escalated with the suspect forcing her into the backseat of the car and then driving recklessly before crashing. Auzenne was booked into jail on a long list of charges including aggravated assault, kidnapping and leaving the scene of an injury crash.
