BUCKEYE, AZ (March 27, 2025): An unlicensed driver got his dirt bike towed and impounded for 20 days after Buckeye police caught him driving recklessly in a school zone.
A Buckeye police officer conducting traffic enforcement near Inca Elementary School yesterday observed the 14-year-old driver speeding in the 15 mile an hour zone before hopping up on the sidewalk to pass slower traffic. This happened as students were being released for the day. The officer handed him a ticket for speeding, no driver’s license, no insurance and no vehicle registration.
School pick-up is stressful enough without drivers ignoring the safety of other motorists and people walking in the area. Thank you to those who drive with care especially around our schools.
