Buckeye police renew call for tips in Anaiah Walker homicide

Post Date:04/03/2025 8:15 a.m.

BUCKEYE, AZ (April 3, 2025): Buckeye police are asking for your help in solving a homicide case as May marks five years since 16-year-old Anaiah Walker was found deceased on I-10. The department, in partnership with Silent Witness, is featuring Anaiah’s case on electronic billboards along the highway, offering a cash reward for information that can lead to an arrest.

Anaiah Walker was found deceased on the I-10 median west of Watson Road on Friday, May 22, 2020. Based on her injuries, investigators determined she had been hit by a car. Detectives then gathered and analyzed car parts found at the scene to determine the unknown suspect was likely driving a 2016 to 2018 Honda Civic LX or LE with factory color “midnight burgundy pearl.”

Detectives have followed up on every lead in efforts to track down the vehicle involved in the crime and identify the suspect responsible for Anaiah’s death. In 2022, Buckeye police partnered with Silent Witness to increase the potential reward for information to $12,000. Now, for the third year in a row, Buckeye police are featuring the Silent Witness information on electronic billboards along I-10 near Miller Road. The billboard message is active now through May.

Buckeye police are asking anyone with information on Anaiah’s case to please call 480-WITNESS (480-TESTIGO for Spanish-speakers) to remain anonymous and potentially be eligible for a cash reward up to $12,000.
