Officer Carrico, a patrol officer, is tasked with responding to a variety of calls for service every shift from welfare checks to violent incidents. Still, her commitment to impaired driving enforcement was especially evident last year. In 2024, Officer Carrico participated in nearly 35 DUI investigations and made 27 DUI arrests, more than any other patrol member. She also sought specialized training, obtaining certification in Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus and Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement and becoming a Drug Recognition Expert.

The Buckeye Police Department is proud to celebrate Officer Carrico’s achievement in keeping Buckeye roads safe. There is no doubt her actions have helped prevent crashes and protect innocent lives.
