In observance of the Labor Day holiday, all city offices, libraries and facilities will close on Monday, September 1. Regular business hours will resume at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2.
Even though city offices are closed, Buckeye’s Labor Day Celebration will take place at the Buckeye Aquatics Center. From noon to 5 p.m. bring your lawn chairs, towels and suits for the last pool party of the summer. Admission is $2, show your military ID and get four free entries.
Trash and recycling services are not affected by the city closure. Residents with service scheduled for Monday should place their containers on the street before 5:30 a.m.
This is also a good time to remember that September marks a change in bulk trash pick-up. The service is moving to a new appointment-based system, allowing you to choose a pick-up time that works best for you. Starting September 4, you can schedule your pick-up by visiting buckeyeaz.gov/bulk.
