For the seventh consecutive year, Buckeye received the “Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting” for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest honor in governmental accounting and financial reporting. This award acknowledges the exceptional work of the Buckeye City Council, city management and the Finance Department in ensuring transparency, accountability and clear communication of the city's financial health.

An independent panel ensures the highest standards are met including transparency and full disclosure when communicating the city’s financial story. The criteria also includes satisfying accepted accounting principles and legal requirements.

Buckeye remains committed to responsible financial management and will continue submitting future ACFRs and other financial reports to the Government Finance Officers Association.
