BUCKEYE, AZ (December 19, 2025): A man was hospitalized this morning in a shooting involving Buckeye police near Rainbow Rd and Sundance Pkwy.

Around 3:45 a.m. Buckeye police received a call of a fight involving multiple people at a home on Ashleigh Marie Dr. The first arriving officer saw a man armed with a gun. Shortly after, an officer involved shooting occurred. The man, in his 40s, sustained a gunshot wound to his arm. The officer immediately applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding as emergency crews arrived. The man was transported to the hospital where he is receiving treatment. The officer was not injured.

The incident is under investigation by the West Valley Investigative Response Team with Glendale police taking the lead.
