City of Buckeye
Home MenuVerrado Way: Yuma to Van Buren
Buckeye will begin construction to widen the Verrado Way and Yuma Road intersection to its ultimate configuration.
This project will add travel lanes in each direction on Verrado Way from Yuma Road to Van Buren Street, along with upgraded traffic signals, street lighting, utility work and significant drainage improvements.
Scheduled to begin May 26, the Verrado and Yuma intersection will be closed to traffic until fall 2026. Completing the work under a full closure will accelerate the overall timeline by nearly a year and save millions of dollars compared with phased construction.
Access to businesses, residences and schools will be maintained. However, because routes may not be direct, please plan for extra travel time.
