BCI Air Fair group photoThe Buckeye Civic Institute works to develop local leaders who actively participate in and support community progress. Participants not only build a valuable network with other passionate individuals but also gain a deeper understanding of the inner workings, challenges and opportunities within Buckeye. Imagine having the city as your personal classroom, forging lasting relationships and defining your role in community progress. If you’re committed to learning, connecting and contributing to Buckeye, the Civic Institute is your chance to step up and lead!

With the city of Buckeye as their classroom, participants will:

  • Develop long-lasting relationships with other leaders
  • Discover the inner workings of our community and challenges facing our community
  • Define your individual role and responsibilities as a leader within our community

You should apply to Buckeye Civic Institute if:

  • You are committed to attending the scheduled dates of the program
  • You want to build a diverse long-term network of colleagues
  • You have a strong desire and interest to understand your community
  • You want to contribute to the community even after graduation


2026 Class Information

If you are interested in learning more about the Buckeye Civic Institute or want to attend the 2026 class, please fill out our Buckeye Civic Institute Interest Form.

Space is limited. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and those who live or work in Buckeye are given first priority. There is an attendance requirement for successful completion of this institute. Participants that are absent for more than two meetings will be ineligible for the program graduation. You will receive a formal application for the program, listing all class dates, please review dates to determine if this program is feasible with your schedule.

Classes for 2026 run from January 8 to March 19, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
