The city of Buckeye invites Arizona-based artists, groups or organizations to submit qualifications to create 2D art designs for two Library Book Return wraps. Selected artists will transform ordinary book return boxes into colorful, inspired works of art. 2D designs will be converted into high-quality digital files for vinyl wrap printing.
Application Deadline: August 31, 2026
Compensation: Up to $3,000 total stipend
Artists may apply for one or both locations using a single application but must indicate their preference:
-
Coyote Public Library Box: (76.5” width x 51” height x 40” deep) A sophisticated, timeless, and elegant book-themed design celebrating reading and literature. It should appeal to all ages without focusing on specific characters or children's themes.
-
Downtown Public Library Box: (38” width x 50” height x 38” deep) A whimsical, book-themed design inspired by literary elements.
Selected artists must consult with library staff and patrons to gather input, submit a community engagement proposal/report and present their design to the Arts & Culture Subcommittee.
All application materials, including a five-image portfolio, must be submitted electronically via Submittable.
