Buckeye Municipal Airport Clarification

It has come to our attention there are some inaccurate social media posts regarding Buckeye Municipal Airport (KBXK) instituting landing fees. To clarify, the airport has not had any communications with any system to collect or institute landing fees.

In 2021, we did install Virtower to assist in determining the amount of air traffic occurring at our airport more accurately. Having a more accurate count of airport operations can ultimately assist us with qualifying for a larger portion of federal and state grant funding in the future. Most recently, this information assisted the city in completing the application for joining the FAA Federal Contract Tower program.
