What time can I pick up my items?

No-Contact Pickup is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Coyote Branch and Downtown Library. For information about the Bookmobile, check the Bookmobile calendar.

Who can use No-Contact Pickup?

No-Contact Pickup is available for anyone with a Buckeye Public Library System account.

How does No-Contact Pickup work?

  1. Reserve your items online or over the phone (623-349-6300).
  2. Once your items become available you will be notified. You may then pick them up only during No-Contact Pickup hours. You do not need to call ahead or book an appointment. You will have 7 days to pick up your item(s). After 7 days, your item(s) will be placed back on the shelves.
  3. Follow the posted instructions to safely retrieve your materials.

How do I reserve items?

You can reserve items online or over the phone (623-349-6300). Requests are limited to 10 items (5 DVDs) per customer at a time. There is no fee for this service. Once your hold is available, you will be notified. You will have 7 days to pick up your item(s). After 7 days, your item(s) will be placed back on the shelves.

Who can pick up my items?

Anyone may pick up your items, but they must present your library card or have your library card number in order to pick up your items. Staff will not release items to those without a library card number.

What if I have items on hold but do not feel comfortable using the No-Contact Pickup service?

All items currently held will remain on the holds shelf until May 26th. If they have not been retrieved by then, they will be made available to another customer.

What if I no longer want to check out the items I have on hold?

Please call 623-349-6300 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and a staff member can cancel your hold for you.

How long can I keep checked out materials?

All new items checked out via No-Contact Pickup have the following check out periods:

  • DVDs: 7 days
  • All Other Materials: 14 days

Please return all items checked out prior to the library’s closure by June 30th.

How do I renew items?

If there is no hold on the item it will auto-renew up to three times. Items may also be manually renewed by logging into you account on the library catalog website.

Where do I return items?

Please return items to the external book returns only. Do NOT return items to staff during No-Contact Pickup. We are NOT accepting donations at this time.

I returned my items, but my account says they are not checked back in yet.

In order to ensure the safety of our staff and customers, we are placing all returned items into quarantine for 72 hours before checking those items in. Your items should be marked returned shortly after that time period.

What are the safety precautions your staff is taking?

All staff members are required to wear gloves, a face mask and will practice social distancing from other staff members and members of the public during the curbside service. All items checked back into the library during this time are placed in a 72-hour quarantine before being placed back on shelves.

How do I get a library card?

Call 623-349-6300 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Can I still put items in the outside book return?

Yes you can – this includes DVDs and audiobooks. We are NOT accepting donations at this time.
