An Astronaut floating through spaceThe Buckeye Public Library’s Summer Reading Program kicks off May 24 and offers more than 40 free programs. The program runs through August 1 and follows the national “A Universe of Stories” theme.

Help us start the reading celebration at a kick-off event, a free pool party at the Aquatic Center on May 24, from noon to 2 p.m. Then join us at 6 p.m. at Coyote Branch for a special double feature screening of “A Trip to the Moon” (1902) and “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” (1982).

Other programs for both children and adults are scheduled throughout the city during the summer months. Visit our events calendar or check back here to see when events are scheduled near you.

Anyone who participates can earn badges and prizes by attending these programs and logging their daily reading time at  from June 1 through Aug. 1. Details on each summer program including dates, times and locations are available on the library's summer reading calendar and on Facebook at the Buckeye Public Library page.
